Teacher: Mr. Aberle
In Spanish class we took a oral test to see just how much you've learned in this year. I was so afraid that I wouldn't pass the test. I studied really hard trying to not be nervous. Before it was my turn I would asked my friends to help me test. I would have them read the question that's in Spanish and answer in Spanish. Since they are in my Spanish class they will know if I answered correctly or incorrectly. They encouraged me not to be nervous and that I would be fine. I thought so to, but when it was my turn to test I was frozen. Mr. Aberle asked Como estas, which means how are you in Spanish. I was so nervous that I didn't answer. I just sat there silent as if i were asleep. Then I finally came to my senses and answered Estoy buen. He looked at me and said are you okay. I answered well I'm a bit nervous. He told me to take a deep breathe and that I was alright because he knew I had the ability to answer and that I knew the answer. So he wanted to make sure I was alright. He said that I can start from the top because I was having some problems because I was nervous. So I answered all the question this time without freezing. And I was able to get 100%. I knew that I could do it just that I was nervous and afraid I wouldn't get a good grade.

In Spanish class we learned about the verb ser which means to be. As you can tell from the picture it shows how to say I am, you are, he/she are, we are, and they are. The word yo means I, tu means you, el/ella means he/she, nosotros means we, ellos/ ellas means they. When learning this we were able to make sentences using the verb ser. The verb ser is to describe a person. Instead of saying location and things like that we were able to describe people and what they doing.
This project reminds me of the time when my sister and brother were taking Spanish. They were saying sentences that included the verb ser. |
